Where is your dusty KJV?

How can I improve my KJV

Well, let me walk you through a little retro hack.

Have you hugged your King James Version of the scriptures lately?

Dust that baby off and grab a pencil. Here is your quick DIY for fixing something that the scholars of old hath missed.

I’m not talking about the use of language that no one uses anymore (except that little church that has a sign on it that says “KJV 1611 Only). Those guys will not so much care for these words, so no disrespect but…

KJV put the word easter as an english translation for the Greek word “Pasha.” Pasha or Pascha is PASSOVER. Messiah is our Passover Lamb, not our easter bunny. Sorry, no offense bunnies, or priests, or scribes.

I am simply helping you with one quick hack to restore the real word in order to not carry around a Bible with a wrong word placed in it. We don’t all have to be right all the time. Sometimes archaeology shows us something that was unknown for a season.

Every other translation from Greek or Aramaic came up with the actual feast that was celebrated in that time.

According to Encyclopedia Britannica Easter was not officially a holiday yet. Here you go,

“The Council of Nicaea in 325 decreed that Easter should be observed on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the spring equinox (March 21).”

Just scratch out that word “Easter” and write in “Passover” and you got a newly improved and Hacked KJV.

Come back each Tuesday for a little tidbit of lovely wisdom from the Scriptures. I am on a quest to help believers rediscover blessings that have been forgotten for almost 2000 years.
