Short answer: closer.
You can never go wrong by saying time is short. You have plenty of biblical documentation to back it up. You simply have to look at your next birthday to have the science that backs it up.
It makes sense to be happy.
There are many pains and many times of mourning to go through if we’re looking at the end of time. However we, as the redeemed of the Messiah, are already given the encouragement that things will be grand.
A new word I give to you.
I have no idea why, but for the past few days I have been receiving thoughts of new words. This has brightened my day, so I thought I would share with you the latest. Maybe it can be a day- brighter for you as well.
My new word for today is “at-hander.”
As the apostle John received the words of prophecy and recorded in the Revelation of Yeshua/Jesus, he opens up by proclaiming a blessing for reading, hearing, and guarding the things written in the book. Why? Because the time is AT HAND.
Well, almost 2000 years later, the time is now “at-hander.”
Read, hear, guard, and receive.
You may be tempted to chastise me for presenting to you a formula. As believers in Jesus / Yeshua, we often stear clear of formulas. In other words, it can often look a little bit like Hocus pocus if we think we can recite a certain word or perform a certain ritual and receive a desired end. But here I’m just simply talking about a promise and the faith enough to believe that you will receive that promise. Because that faith is what is important if you are to receive. If you do not believe, simply, you will not receive.
Almighty God said it, I believe it, and that settles it. It has been proven throughout the ages from prophecy to fulfillment. The scriptures prophesied of the mighty miracles that the chosen one would fulfill, and when the Messiah came to Earth, he carried on to fulfill those miracles.
The Book of Revelation, in which so many confusing words are placed, gives us a formula, if you will.
Revelation of 1:3
Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it, for the time is at hand.Apostle Yochanon/John
A Promise Kept
Can you see that? Right there is a promise of blessing for anyone who reads, hears, and guards, the words of this prophecy. And there is a “why” there. That being, that the time is near. In my literal study Bible it says the time is at hand. So the time 2,000 years ago was at hand, and the reader, and hearer and guarder (hey there’s a new word.) Would receive a blessing. I’m thinking that the blessings are still available and, since the time is at hander, those blessings are ready. They are ripe. They are there for the receiving.
One of the things that I learned later in life is that in order to receive a gift, you must receive the gift. And it is poor form to turn down a gift. One must have the grace to accept with Thanksgiving. So here it is the offer is there. But we honestly need to open-handedly receive the blessings. I believe in my faith, I have not done so as fully as I could have in the past. But I have come to a point where I realize that things that are spoken over my life must be received with Thanksgiving.
So, as the enemy rages and confusion festers, just know this: it’s all falling in line. You may think that it is all falling apart, but while we are tempted to sweat the big stuff, God is setting up the bigger stuff.
Take this dive, if you dare. I am doing it. If you read the book of Revelation, do so with the faith that you will receive!
Try this simple formula and let me know how it plays out for you.
- Read the book of Revelation.
- Don’t read “Left Behind” or any other novel or commentary for now.
- Read blessings and proclamations out loud. You may even choose to speak out loud something like, “I receive” after you hear the words.
- Guard the words. Obey instructions and heed it’s warnings.
- Write down and tell of all His excellent blessings.
Now, these are things that I am doing, and I will share here. but I would really love it if you would share as well. If you get a chance, just check back and post in the comments below blessings that you have received from the gracious hand of the Almighty.
