They Told You “14 Days.” More Covid Questions

14 Days to Flatten The Curve

As I write this, about 60 days ago all of the headlines were plastering those words just about everywhere we can see. To start off, I have been a student of marketing and rhetoric for many years. So when I hear a phrase repeated over and over again by multiple sources, I get curious. Who is trying to convince whom? And why?

Should one have to lie in order to convince?

If you study history enough, you will know that populations of people have been moved by such tactics. And I’m sorry to call a tactics, but what I have witnessed from mainstream media ( I call it state media) in the past few months seems to be a concerted effort to push society toward a common goal. I know… Good people are convinced that the current virus is deadly to almost anyone, but that is simply not the case. We know that from statistics as well as observation.

Very simply put, we were lied to. Undeniably there is an agenda beyond “saving lives.” Why must media personalities push their agenda? Almost like we know they “craft their stories.” So the media, in my opinion, is simply a movie poster. They are a movie poster designed to get people to buy tickets to the latest agenda.

Freedom Is Nothing to Sneeze At

Bait and switch

When I was in 10th grade and I went to the carnival by myself, and I got snookered by the carnival game. On that day that I lost all my money, all $10 of it. After that I stepped back and watched other people play. That’s when I noticed that the carnival worker had some tricks up his sleeves.

Can we step back and take notice of the bait and switch that has been played on us. They told us 14 days. They took more. Much more.

We were simply told that if we just went along with the plan, after 14 days, we would be back to normal. Who believed that this would be the case? As soon as we stepped into that, within minutes, media professionals were stating that this might have to go on longer.

Well, so far it has become 60 days. Who would like their 45 days back?

My hope is that people are starting to catch on. Some of us have been alert from the very beginning. And that doesn’t mean that I am any smarter than any of my colleagues. However I do tend to watch people’s actions because, as they say, actions speak louder than words.

So in March, when the suggestions were coming forth that we should suspend our constitutional rights and put ourselves on house arrest (and put many people in the poor house) I decided to observe. I observed the following:

I see politicians interact on a human level and they don’t seem to act concerned. Many do not wear masks except when they approach a press conference or some sort of public appearance. And even then they pull down the fresh mask in order to talk. But many have been traveling around. Doesn’t going outside make things worse? Yet they seem to be in various places. Except when they want to appear on zoom at their home. Much of that is done for appearance.

Media personnel seem to travel a lot. And seem to be more interested in seeing President Trump fail than in seeing the country cleared of a heinous virus.

If the virus was the issue at hand, why are the politicians and media celebrities not prioritizing this over their political ambitions? I see ambitions such as “dump Trump at all cost,” “Marxist socialism now,” “feed the museums before feeding the lives of people,” etc. Infectious control has taken a back seat to population control? Haven’t we heard the Agenda 21 mantra, “sustainability,” for years now? The goal has been to sustain the population. If this is a test run for controlling the citizens, the powers that be are getting a good grade. IF IT IS, in fact, a test.

Lastly if health was a goal here, doctors would be allowed to treat their patients with methods that they see working for others. You would have no need to outlaw certain treatments which have shown positive effects. Certain personalities have done nothing to stop or cure a virus but have performed all types of tactics to block any progress at all, for fear of any credit going toward the current president. For instance, if the people win, it might be perceived as a win for the President.

When did politicians start telling doctors how to do their jobs? Oh, right. Affordable Care Act.

Remember this? It was in China. Let’s take a moment and learn from history.

“The Great Leap resulted in tens of millions of deaths, with estimates ranging between 18 million and 45 million deaths. About the same number of births were lost or postponed, making the Great Chinese Famine the largest in human history.”

This started because a dictator proclaimed himself an expert – on farming. Yes. Mao “decreed increased efforts to multiply grain yields and bring industry to the countryside.” When he forced the farmers to obey his rules, over their own expertise or free will, he created a devastating famine. He was not a farmer. Our President and Speaker Of The House are not doctors. Even the doctors that they place on the pulpit Are Not Your Doctor.

Have we been given a medical famine by our political leaders and popular press?

So often our politicians, treat the average citizen as uneducated, with less rights – and impose restrictions on citizens that they don’t place on themselves. These are some of the actions that speak louder than words.

Why not simply treat the sick rather than suspect all healthy people?

Why not shut down politicians’ pet projects instead of shutting down small businesses?

Are you concerned about your rights?

Ask yourself the following questions and please share with your friends:

Why didn’t they keep their promise? We did our part – 14 days!

Lest you think I am just a naysayer, I share with you some simple ideas which would help save lives from a disease and possibly protect us from a depression and famine. This comes from a guy who has produced infectious disease protocol trainings for health care professionals.

I know it’s not likely that my suggestions will be transformed into some public policy. Heck, almost nobody reads my blog. But, I know there must be someone out there who would benefit from these questions and suggestions. They are not comprehensive, of course, but don’t we just need a little clarity right now?

How about we get back our freedoms? I honestly don’t know how this Titanic can get turned around at this point.

I am a man of prayer and I know that seeking the face of our Creator is the absolute best answer for any problem. If God’s people all return to him and repent in faith, great things will take place. There are so many ways in which we can have hope.

Let’s start with making sensible solutions to our everyday health. I will include some links to some healthy podcast that I listen to on a regular basis.

Questions I MUST Ask About Corona Virus And Nursing Homes

Do you have a loved one in a nursing home?

During the massive shutdowns of the Corona virus response, it seems we all had a hobby of waiting for the Corona score of the day. Even if we did not want to, like a bad circus performance, we could not look away.

Winning or losing?

I remember taking part in Easter egg hunts when I was a child. If some child was not quite getting it, if their basket was not chock full of cellophane covered pretend Easter eggs, they usually got a little bit of help. Some sympathetic parent of a hoarder would grab into the basket of their child and distribute some booty to the other child. Most parties were fine with this. Especially the child who had formerly one scraggly looking candy egg.

I must admit from my little perch, it looked a bit like that with the current virus sufferers.

For a while the county next to us enjoyed freedom from any cases of the sickness. Then the news came that there was a victim on the scoreboard. Shortly after that I found out that this sick person was transferred to that county from our county. Rumor has it that the first case in our county, by the way was transferred from a different state.

This facility in which the sick person from our county was placed later suffered from more cases. My first question was “why didn’t they leave well enough alone,” as they say.

Why can’t a nursing home full of elderly people be quarantined from an outbreak of such nature?

The following diagram is a compilation of three quick questions that I have. I do not have the answer. I don’t know that I will get them. But I do wonder if anyone else is curious about this.

Is it up to you New York, New York.

Is there any question as to whether the governor of New York has been one of the most quoted characters in the outbreak news? How many people have died in the city of New York since the beginning of March 2020? How many of those people were in nursing homes? Whose idea was it specifically for citizens of New York City who live in nursing homes to receive fellow residents who were infected by this dangerous disease?

Let me share with you a link to an article that I have found which addresses some of these questions and poses some of its own.

We Need To Take A Hard Look At Nursing Home Policies

I hope that you are safe and doing well in America today. Be blessed and keep smiling.

When We Look Into Our Own Eyes We See Something Unexpected, But Genius.

When Leaves Get In Your Eye.

So, I like being helpful. I guess you could say that I fancy myself as a problem solver. Oh no. Am I revealing my hero complex?

But isn’t it hard to mind our own business sometime?

I remember being asked to be “the Youth Counselor” when I would visit a new church. That’s a subject that needs attention, but this is about me, right. When I was a twenty-something dude, I changed jobs during college and after college while I was seeking for my place in this world. (Still there in some aspects, but I will get to that later.)

New apartment. New city. New Church.

“Hey, there’s a young man, let’s give him the task of creating all the fun activities for our teenagers. It often felt like the model had become so marinaded into church culture that it was a requirement to give the youngest adult in the room the master key to the brains and hearts of all the teens in the room.

I said yes, until I said no.

The last time I said yes with my mouth, I was saying “no” in my rib cage. I had already seen that I was not so effective in this position. Why? I was a mess. A royal, sloppy peanut buster parfait on a stick. I was playing dodgeball with 15 year olds while I was playing kickball with my 25 year old self.

I soon realized that I needed help.

see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

King David Ps. 139:4

How Can I Help You?

As I write, we are in the second Day of Awe (2 of 10) leading up to Yom Kippur. This is a special season of the year, I believe, with a special anointing for introspection. We can look at our inner being and ask God to search us and reveal the planks in our own eye. No nitpicking on our spouse, neighbor, child right now. Just honesty with ourselves and the Creator.

My own youth group.

I now have 5 children. Blessed be His mighty name. The Father, in His grace has allowed me to sew truth into them and that’s about it. And that is plenty. I wasn’t a very effective youth counselor, but I didn’t blow any teens up. I don’t deserve another chance, but I got one. And I love it.

More Plank

Even in the midst of my super duper dad-coach whiteboard sessions, I have come into the knowledge, time and again, that I need help. I have started looking out there for others who encounter similar life challenges. Older, younger, whatever their level of experience, I want to learn. I heard a great quote today:

Society changes slowly, but we can make a big change in ourselves in a day.

Through God’s grace, in my lateness, I have started back on a path to being a better version of me. I have been overcoming ADD, past abuse, weight loss struggles, a poverty mindset, heartbreak, and much more.

I have always had an ability to stand back and look at a situation and visualize a possible solution. However, I can sense a critical nature that pops up frequently. I can fix the politics, economics, and global warming of this nation, but guess what? You probably already know this, but the world did not hire me to be its youth counselor. Actually no one has done so in 30 years.

So, I grab the plank and pull.

Rinse. Repeat.

I’m so blessed to be alive and living with the knowledge and relationship of my Father on His Heavenly throne. The Bible says that I can actually brag about that.

But I Progress…

I now, look forward to the days. I can’t wait to see smiles on my family when I reach home. I can’t wait to find out a better way to deal with those painful memories from the old days. I look forward to the Holy Spirit things that are opening up and freeing me from curses and prison bars that I didn’t even know were there.

The Secret Life The Cat In The Hat

A new look at an old favorite.

My girls have finished their first video project. This is their first sketch video and I am super happy with them. We happen to do a lot of improv in the car as we travel from one place to another. We often take on an exotic accent and carry it through for hours as we shop, get gas, go to church, etc.

Recently they were in a play, “Seussical the Musical.” They had a blast.

They began to see some similarities with Secret Life Of Pets and The Cat In The Hat. They recruited their friend who actually portrayed “The Cat” in the Seussical spectacular.

Here it is for a little Wednesday wackiness. If you enjoy, leave a comment below to encourage the Bass team. Thanks for watching.
